That’s Great News! We are excited for you and want to encourage horse ownership but before you take the plunge, could we please give you some professional advice?
We don’t want your new purchase to end in heartbreak because the horse you thought you were buying is not the horse that shows up when you bring them home.
This is the reason why HorseHand was established in the first place. To give people somewhere to go, to get the right information and the support to go with it.
We can help you make an informed decision on purchasing your new horse, to ensure you choose the right partner for you or your child. Our priority is your safety!
We hold Introduction to the horse sessions at HorseHand which will give you an idea of what is involved in horse ownership.
Buying a horse is something you should not take lightly. You are going to choose a partner for yourself or your child. Horses are big and strong like men and at the same time very sensitive like women and they are definately not all the same. There are many factors to consider when choosing a partner.
Some things to consider would be personality/temperament, how regularly the horse has or is to be ridden, breed, age, height and most importantantly education.
Have you heard the saying Horses for courses?
Well it’s also true for a horse /rider combination. I prefer to call it a partnership!
We understand that there is a lot of free advice out there for prospective Horse owners. Some of which can be contradictory, confusing and a lot of the time inaccurate. HorseHand has over 55 years combined Horse experience, which gives us a depth of knowledge in the equine industry and horse behaviour.
